Hard to believe it’s been 40 years since arguably the greatest rock drummer left us. Will never forget the first time I heard the intro to Good Times, Bad Times. Changed music forever. Link to a tribute video.

Just flew by.

Rare combination of power and finesse, with a real sense of musicality. It's rare to find a drummer like that who also keeps good time and does not overplay (in a rock drummer with jazz roots).

The rare quadruple threat.
