Ive been rewatching twilight zone episodes for the first time in like 2 years and my two favorites are still the episode were the criminal thinks in heaven but really is in hell and the episode where the german u boat captain spends eternity riding the british ghost ship

"they could die only once, but we can die 100 million times" still sends shivers down my spine

The Burgess Merideth (* slip up) one where he has no one but his books.

The William Shattner one with the Gremlin

The one where the civil war vets are walking by the Plantation and the woman refuses to believe she is dead until she see Abe Lincoln.

To Serve Man

Its been awhile since I've seen the movie but I remember liking that too. The intro to it with "Midnight Special" playing always makes me think of that movie when I hear that song.

"Do you want to see something really scary?"

"Time enough, at last"

"Terror at 20,000 feet"

"The Invaders"

are my three favorite.

However, I could watch most of the series and I don't know why I don't watch them more often.

The one where the chick sees what turns out to be herself in the past when she's riding her horse. Her past self is trying to tell her not to marry who she did. Movies and TV today would never tell a chick she shouldn't have married her true love and should've listened to her parents.

"an occurrence at owl creek bridge" was a great episode, where a civil war spy is being hanged, but the rope breaks and he escapes, but of course theres a twist. pretty sure it was a special though, a french film they aired, not an original twilight zone episode.

Yes, it had actually won an Oscar for best short subject the year before

Based on an Ambrose Bierce short story. A lot of us probably read it in high school.

My Grandma had this on VHS and I remeber it, but I never saw it on TV.

Spoilers

***

That was a good one. It was all a dream, and in the end the entire episode was between the point in which the spy fell to the point in which his neck snapped.

I always enjoyed "Printer's Devil" with Burgess Meredith, as well as "Time enough at last" with him.

"It's a good life" that they reused for the movie is a good one.

One other I always really enjoyed was one called "The Hunt" about an old man and his hunting dog.
