Are these really worth it? I'd love the originals on disc without George's hideous additions.

Harmy is the only way I know how to do this.

Everybody knows I hate everything.

You can buy the original theatrical cut of Star Wars trilogy on blu Ray

No you can't. You can buy the closest thing available, but you can't actually buy the original theatrical cut.

i've ran the harmy shite next to the theatrical laser disc versions on dvd.

save for one hard edit that's now a wipe, it's the real deal. down to the timing of the scroll/music everything

look it up, see what these nerds did. it's really impressive.

Well then, I stand corrected. I'll have to check them out.

Surely there are laser discs running around of the original theatrical releases. Right? I mean.. Lucas couldn't have bought ALL of those up. Wonder how much one would cost? Or is that where harmy is starting from?

It's a damn shame it takes fans to make this happen.

If there's not a HQ theatrical release on the 50th anniversary there never will be.

You’re right in that the only theatrical release is the one and only. This is the closest you’ll ever get to remastered versions.

The difference is negligible

You can't tell me that Lucas doesn't do that, in this day and age, for no other reason than to piss people off because he can or simply to to be curmudgeonly.

Lucas has zero say on the matter and hasn’t had one for years.

What additions? What changes did they make? I started phasing out my old DVDs with Blu Ray for my favorite movies a while back. Bought the original trilogy but still haven't watched them.

You talking about since he sold to Disney?
Ok....I'll bite. What about his stance in the years before the sale? He was adamant he wasn't doing it and that the updated versions were the only versions in his opinion.
