why the hate on cruise as an actor. he usually does a good job in the films his in.

And the article nails it. I really want this to do well because the movie really was fantastic. It's one of my favorite genre(s) when movies are sci fi, end of the world scenarios, with it not being some shitty super hero fighting but men and women in a militaristic way. And the sad thing about movies like this is they rely entirely on visual effects and bullshite and the plot/script is dogshit. This movie was one of the few times I wasn't let down. I was gleefully surprised when I went to see it after work Thursday and that happens so rarely and I'll hate the world if a movie like this fails because it doesn't have some queer-arse super hero, vampire, or phone-frickbot or w/e.
