I was in 1st grade when this came out. I remember wanting to go see Raiders of the Lost Ark but my parents thought it would be to scary for me... so they brought me to see Time Bandits. Still freaked me out a bit... the part with the "pure evil" near the end and the cages.
Love the movie to this day.

Yeah, I can imagine the parents being blown to smithereens and the kid being left there would probably be a bit freaky for some kids.
Though I was 7-8ish when I watched it on video and just thought it was awesome. "Don't touch it, it's eveeeel". Bam.
