i remember having the "pleasure" of listening to he and john mahaffey, both plastered on bar stools at the old southdowns ... when two egos that big get drunk, it is pretty funny .. they were both hitting on young girls hard ...

The guy died in 2002. It seems like he died in the 90s for some reason. Can't believe he stuck it out that long.

him and Dianne were good friends of my parents
my dad worked with Vernon many years at WAFB
I dont remember much about him but he did start attending Parkview Baptist and marriage counseling before he killed himself

He was from Cecilia, La
Very few from st Martin parish had anything good to say about him
He was:
a terrible alcoholic
A liar
A recipe thief
A jerk
And obviously very weird in his personal life
You hate to see someone end up the way that he did but he had a LOT of people trying to help him and support him and he turned his back on all of them.
