Fangtasia is an hour from Bon Temps. That was clearly stated in Season 1.

The Calhoun exit is the 101. The first Shreveport exit west of the Red River is 19A. I don't know how fast you drive but on a wide open interstate I call 82 miles one hour. (And I'm assuming immortals would drive at least as fast as I do.)

And Shreveport is really only mentioned in reference to Eric and Fangtasia, Monroe is mentioned much more often.

You may be correct. I am basing my stance on the fact that the author lives in Magnolia, Ar.

I lived in Magnolia for 5 years.

Magnolia people have no connection to the Monroe area. A direct highway (79) takes them to Hayensville where everyone in Columbia Co. goes to get alcohol. 17 miles further is Homer. This is the way everyone from Magnolia goes to Shreveport.

Magnolia gets Shreveport network affiliates, it is anchored to Shreveport. El Dorado, Ar is just the opposite. They go to Monroe and get Monroe affiliates.

Trust me. If she had a town in mind, it is not around Monroe.
