About Time.

If going back in time to bang Rachel McAdams isn't the best plot for a time travel movie, I don't know what is.

Also, that wasn't the first chick he traveled back in time to bang. She was just the first one he traveled back in time to bang successfully.

I cannot believe I'm going to say this

but I liked what they did with men in black

the guy who plays Arnold Rothstein is awesome and I like the idea of him being able to see every eventuality simultaneously and having the capacity to consider every variable EVER in the universe(s)

that dude is such a good actor he took some nothing role in a stupid movie and made it awesome.

What does Saturn have to do with Time?

He ended up inside the Tessaract...the laws of space and time become infinite there. The future humans placed the tessaract into their 5th dimension of time some point in the very distant future in order to speed up the process of the human race discovering this 5th dimension and beginning work on the Tesseract. This was crucial to their own survival theoretically...Cooper then had to get the messages to his daughter based on the information that TARS retrieved from the singularity.

The whole movie is based on Kip Thorne's works with relativity and dimensions. It is really well portrayed.

Because he's sucked into a black hole and suddenly appears across time in on space behind a bookshelf, then shows up at x time in x place inexplicably. Everything before that I agree is handled well.

But eventually he sees his daughter (illustrating the time difference) and how he got there makes no fricking sense whatsoever and we're also left to wonder if he again, time traveled. I don't know because the movie makes not even a subtle attempt to say.

And the tesseract thing is not grounded in science. I would bet that's not what happens when you're sucked into a black hole. I thought you'd get crushed into a singularity, but I'm just taking hawking' sword for it.

Are we including time loop movies/shows like Groundhog Day and that episode of Star Trek TNG where they slowly figured out how to send messages to themselves across the loops?

Cause if so, I vote for those.

Also while we're on the subject of interstellar (which I really liked btw) I think I heard the black astronaut saying the could cross the event horizon and escape, and that's total bullshite. That's the point that even light can't escape a black hole's gravitational pull.

I liked Men in Black III. It was very well handled in all aspects.

Agreed...the whole concept of a wormhole is fiction. I mean these things don't exist in the known universe so certainly science is being fictionalized in the movie as it should be...but they are incorporating real principles and theories as well which is what I found most entertaining.

As for the event horizon...correct as well. Everything would be so radiated and super heated that if you got near it you would melt. In fact, they got very close to this point upon entering the black hole and it didn't affect them which every one knows was complete fiction.

But this was about time travel and in the realm of time traveling they made it possible by making it a 5th dimension and then applied the science based on that assumption and the theory of relativity and super gravitational forces and their influence on time.

Like I said I don't know, and this all theory since none of this shite is possible, but the event horizon thing caught my ear. Like you said, even getting near it would be the point of no return (the burn stuff too) because it was pretty clear they weren't going light speed

Plus the wormhole is good theory, but he used the black hole to get back, not the worm hole
