I think he'll do just fine but I highly doubt it tops ledgers performance for the simple fact that Bane simply pales in comparison to the joker. The joker is an iconic character and I just can't see Bane matching up to that.

Ledger's Joker is in its own category of epicness as far as Superhero movies go. He took superhero movies to a level I didn't think they could go to. Alot of that credit has to go to Nolan. His batman movies are in a class of their own in the genre.

The credit is to Nolan, not Ledger. Ledger was good but not great...

A resounding yes. I really like Hardy, actually a hell of alot more than I liked Ledger going into his Joker performance.

Good point, but i considered doc ock as spideys crappiest villain...and i know a truck ton of spidey villains (big wheel...turrible)

Hardy is a great actor; it's just that not many outside somewhat-comic knowledgeable people know who the hell Bane is. I think he'll be terrific, even though Bane's voice is now obviously dubbed (it sounds like his voice is coming from a sound stage).
