It was a historic weekend for the box office and most definitely not in a good way. Let's dive in and take a look at the numbers:

1. Onward (Disney) $10.5 million
2. I Still Believe (Lionsgate) $9.5 million
3. Bloodshot (Sony) $9.3 million
4. The Invisible Man (Universal) $6 million
5. The Hunt (Universal) $5.3 million
6. Sonic the Hedgehog (Paramount) $2.5 million
7. The Way Back (Warner Bros.) $2.4 million
8. The Call of the Wild (20th Century Fox) $2.2 million
9. Emma (Focus Features) $1.3 million
10. Bad Boys for Life (Sony) $1.1 million

- This is the worst weekend for the box office since September 11-13, 1998. The overall gross was just over $55 million. Primarily blame has been assigned (accurately) to the Wuhan Virus.
- Bad Boys for Life passed the $200 million mark at the domestic box office
- Birds of Prey finished just outside the Top 10 at #11 with just $555,000 brought in over the weekend

Did call of the wild flop? It looked real floppy in the trailer.

I posted the only review of the hunt since it came out (which is ridiculous considering the political nature of it and this board) and it hasn’t had a single reply.

Poor movie tries to release during the fall and gets sidelined because of the shootings (not making light of them at all) and then gets scheduled to release the week the country loses its mind.
