Last week was a setup episode. Those are always underwhelming.

That's what I'm always curious about, is how does one viewer define a good episode. Because there are many different kind of episodes, how does one decide if it is a disappointment?
Do the standards change if you knew what type of episode it would be before hand?
I would think so

I caught up on all of season 3 and first ep this past week and I was blown away. This show has gotten so much better. Last week was a great setup episode. I'm still struggling with new people's names and dynamics, but I assume most people are.
I was wondering about the water supply they seem to have. That's got to be tainted or something right? We going to find out what made glasses sick?

Word on the street is that tonight is one of the "major" eps of the season.
One hour.
One hour.

I thought the same. I thought there would me more of a cliff hanger since it was the first episode.

I was thinking the same about the water. But there is a reason why the pig died. It might be something in the ground with all those dead zombies around them. The food could have gotten infected to a degree. I noticed that kid took over the bbq at the beginning of the episode, maybe it had something to do with some pork.
