this is a documentary about the internet (namely Reddit) and its reaction to the Boston Bombing
i remember all of this stuff in real time and i thought that it would mostly focus on the e-detectives who were trying to figure this all out (and who completely fricking failed, mind you). that was about 1/4 of the movie
it's a big blowjob to reddit. there is one guy from BR who is the biggest nerd in the world who takes about 10 facials
there is some reflection on the impact of social media and these events, but it's a fluff piece so they didn't really get into anything in any great detail, especially critically.
if you participated in the event's social media, i'd recommend watching this for the nostalgia
if you hate reddit and twitter, and you want a reason to hate both, i'd recommend watching this doc
if you want a good doc or an entertaining doc, then pass and watch any one of my 5 star plus recommendations
