You’re suggesting that Tesla had actually cloned Bale’s character and they just kept it secret.

Interesting, but I don't think so. The twins would have realized he's cloned himself since they know it's possible.

Bale used some electricity when he spiced up his presentation of the "New Transported Man" that I'm guessing he got from Tesla. It was a part of how he did the trick, but not the secret. It lead Jackman to spend a lot of time and fortune chasing Tesla.

I'm afraid I have never gotten the love for The Prestige. It's a good movie but I fail to see why it's regarded as a masterpiece by some fans. As far as Nolan films go, it ranks closer to the bottom for me, perhaps just above Dunkirk.

I finally watched it maybe 2 years ago and find myself watching it when it's on a movie channel, so there's something to it. Michael Kane is great too.

The Prestige is an excellent film and underrated by critics. To me though, it lacks the scope and creativity that makes Nolan so special.

inception
Interstellar

Both are just massive undertakings in this day and age. The fact that he was able to get gigantic budgets for these original movies on his name alone is something that we may never see again in our lifetime.

You look at the good Interstellar had throughout the world too, and, man, what a unique experience. They had scientists holding seminars about space in countries like South Korea because of the scope of that movie. Not to little rooms of people. Hundreds/Thousands.

So from a story perspective and judging it for its quality of film alone, those two aren’t his best movies.

From the perspective that he leveraged his Dark Knight success into two absolutely stunning, original, out of the box, star studded movies, those reasons to me are why those two are his best films. There is nothing close to them when comparing them to the rest of the industry.

You could say any Nolan movie is his best and you wouldn't be wrong. He's just that damn good.
