Loved it too. Shout out to Lois and Clark too when he and his mom are at Jonathan Kent's grave, he folds his arms as they were talking. That was Dean Cain's thing.

Why didn't they show that giant guy he fought up close? If they did I missed it
Posted on 6/15/13 at 8:00 pm to putt23
They showed him on Krypton. Motherfricker was/is huge.
Best scene to me was Superman standing in the desert with the military to his back and Zod's ship closing in as the camera panned aerially.
Epic.

I remember that, but it was really up close. At least, not enough for me cause I wanted to see him be stupid like in the original

anyway, how the hell did that ship end up on earth? I thought that was the biggest plothole in the whole movie.
Did you actually watch the movie or are still just trolling badly?
Eta: missed your post above this. Don't see how you missed it since they mentioned it a few times, but it was one of Kryptons ships from when they were colonizing other worlds.

There was an online story that neatly described this also.
Hint, hint: "Supergirl"

Pete Ross: (Yes, Pete Ross). A bit of a doufus, but I grew to like the small role he played. A nice shout-out to the character's role in the comics as Clark's one true Smallville friend.

i saw it and chucked to myself.
I saw the movie tonight at AMC/RAVE whatever the hell it is now at the Mall of LA (never going there again)
it was good IMO b/c it was extremely deep telling the story of superman.
the part that really shocked me was how superman killed general. he had to do it, but was shocked that he actually did it.
oh, i was PISSED after sitting through the LONG arse end credits to find out that there was no end scene

Just saw the movie. It was a very good movie, not great yet but the next part have many potentials.
They could go with a power house fest or do Lex Luthor.
I thought they went too much on the flashback and the kid actor was not convincing at all. In fact the less the kids have to say the better. However when it go to adult superman the tone matched well enough.
The whole lois and superman thing happened way to fast and out of the blue for the kiss.
On another note that Kryptonian girl was hot in a weird way. I can't pin point it, maybe it's her eyes or her military cut with her eyes but I was actually hoping she survived.

Saw it by myself tonight. Loved it! It was phenomenal. Going to see it with family tomorrow & will give a longer review.
Funny story about this.. As soon as Superman breaks Zod's neck (which is pretty awesome/kind of a real tense moment) a little kid maybe 7 or 8 just let's out the biggest "ha-ha!" I've ever heard. Had the entire theatre rolling.
