Search function freakin sucks on mobile I went back a couple pages maybe I’m an idiot and missed it

Anyways, The Madison is good, maybe Sheridan’s best writing when it’s just the Clyburns and Kurt Russell writing to Michelle Pfeifer.

But my gosh Sheridan writes Montanans like they are from Alabama or Texas. I live in northern Colorado, been to Montana many times. They don’t talk like Texans. There is no “mam” no “sir”. They aren’t backwoods hicks like south alabamans.

They have the accents of Canadians for the most part, sure they are nice, the ranchers and hunters I know are good folk. But it’s so obnoxious how he writes them like they are still living in the 80s with no restaurants and no contact with the outside world.

“What do you do for dates around here?”

“Well, we can float the river or ride horses into the mountains”

frick off, the Madison river valley is close to Bozeman and Big Sky. There are restaurants, theaters, sporting events, etc,

The show is great focusing on the grief of losing Preston, but when it divulges into the locals it’s so eye rolling and over the top.

Anyways rant over, good show otherwise

Search default on TD is 7 days. You can select 2+ years.

So, Texans are like hicks from Alabama?

Yeah, just like the Star in Frisco, I guess?

You realize most of the viewers of these shows live in metro areas of 250k+ and don't need a whole hell of a lot to pull them into the universe of the sticks, right?

Most native Montanans would rather float a river or ride horses in the mountains than drive to Bozeman to see a movie. I do agree, Sheridan exaggerated, however.

So being polite makes someone a hick? You’ve been many times and never heard anyone say yes sir or no sir? I find that hard to believe. And FYI it’s “ma’am” which is short for madam. Seems like you got your feelings hurt. I suggest not watching the next two seasons.
