Not sure where I read this, but it said that chunk was so embarrassed doing the truffle shuffle that the director told him he would give him a lifetime membership to a gym. Pretty coll idea for a self conscious kid.

He grew up to do the truffle shuffle for Cal games in college as a student. Not that embarrassing I guess.
He had chicken pox when filming that scene but didn’t wanna lose the part so he didn’t tell anyone. In some versions you can tell.
My kids have loved the movie since they were 2 it holds up very well
