The Vacationeer will host a 7-night Caribbean cruise through Royal Caribbean, sailing from Miami, Florida on January 24, 2027, and returning on January 31.
The event puts the fan convention experience on board Royal Caribbean’s 15-deck Independence of the Sea, complete with actor panels and autograph sessions, photo ops, meet-and-greet parties, trivia competitions, and more. On top of this, Stargate fans will enjoy the rest of the cruise experience with members of the cast — episode viewings hosted by the cast, a Stargate-themed game show, and land excursions alongside the actors who brought Stargate to life on the small screen.
Headlining the inaugural “Gate Cruise” are Stargate SG-1 stars Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, and Michael Shanks. The full guest list (so far) includes:
Richard Dean Anderson (“Jack O’Neill”)
Amanda Tapping (“Samantha Carter”)
Michael Shanks (“Daniel Jackson”)
Rachel Luttrell (“Teyla Emmagan,” Stargate Atlantis)
Paul McGillion (“Carson Beckett,” Stargate Atlantis)

The Gate Cruise itinerary will take the ship from Miami to three ports of call:
Nassau, Bahamas
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Most of the on-board Stargate activities will take place during the ship’s three days at sea.

Reservations for the January event are now open at GateCruise.com, with packages starting at $3,263 for two guests in a shared room, $3,563 for an ocean view — or, for fans who really want to go all-out, a full suite starting at $5,263. (This, including a $500 deposit, is paid directly to Royal Caribbean and is fully refundable according to the terms of the cruise line.) Autographs, photo ops, and excursion bookings will be charged on top of this, however the base package price does include taxes, port fees, and gratuities.
