re: The First Purge

I admit I was intrigued by a prequel to this franchise. And I admit that this kind of film is supposed to have political overtones. But damn, the filmmakers grabbed every opportunity to paint Caucasians as evil racists.

We get it, white supremacists are bad; but it's unfair to make that portrayal with the media making nary a fuss. Realistically, could a Purge movie have been made in 2018-19 where African Americans were exclusively the villains and Whites were both victims and heroes? Of course not.

So, let's quit using race to decide good vs evil. I vote gender. There's only two (depending on who you ask) and I know some women who are definitely psychos.
