In his interview with NPR, SBC said that while the movie was scripted, multiple scenes were shot multiple times with improvisation. It maintains the element of surprise throughout the humor. A vintage SBC effort and it is a solid effort.

He is actually a good actor. Watch Hugo..its one of his better roles.

Just watched it off Red Box. Decently funny movie...I went in expecting Borat tho. Some very oncomfortable parts tho, especially the Munich Olympics scene while he was playing the Wii ...that was a little too much for me

I was shocked how mediocre and unfunny this actually was. I thought Cohen was above humor like this.

He's really talented and his Ali G/Borat stuff was genius. But he's too recognized to do them anymore. The Dictator was OK.
