Just watched all 8 episodes in the theater..

I have to say its pretty good if you actually don't know the Bible.

But there are whole story lines that aren't Biblical at all.

There is a difference between filling gaps with probable conversations based on actual events vs literally making up story lines.

I actually whispered to my wife over and over "thats not in the Bible at all".

There were parts of the show I didn’t think we’re in the Bible either. Then I researched the Bible more and found that they were… just parts I didn’t know about.

And yes, you do have to fill in the gaps. As with any Biblical show you have to allow for some creativity but Dallas Jenkins uses Biblical scholars and historians to do so.

Look for what it gets right, not to criticize. It’s a great show with a great Message.

This.

Ultimately this show will stretch on for 56 episodes - seven seasons of eight episodes a piece. In order to successfully achieve that you need to fill in gaps with probable sub-plots that either aren't mentioned in the Bible or are briefly glossed over but not explained in detail.
