Don't worry, Unknown. Next June there will be a thread on here about TF2: One year later, and all of the TF2 knights will be on here talking about how it hasn't aged well, like with the Dark Knight threads...

I missed those. I personally didn't see the big deal with TDK. It was a good movie though. I didn't see it until January. Maybe I was expecting too much because of all the hype it got last summer.

I think that's because they have no expectations for JOE. However, they did have expectations for this and are too embarrassed to admit that they wasted their hard earned money on it...

I went into Transformers 2 expecting to be entertained and/or able to pick apart another mindless Michael Bay movie afterward with my fanboy friend. I got both. This was Bay's magnum opus right on the cusp of his supposed change in style. Michael Ba-ba-SPLOOM lived up to his billing, which is a director who explores a typically marginally coherent plot through ridiculous explosions and other assorted special effects. I don't see how anyone could expect something more. I like to watch impeccable movies without giant robots destroying aircraft carriers but sometimes it's just as much fun to watch those giant robots punch each other to death without that fitting into a quality storyline, and especially when that storyline is rife with absurdity. Maybe it was just the group of people next to me shouting the entire movie, I don't know.
