Sash is one of the people that if I was walking down the street, and I saw him walking past me, I'd punch him in the face just for fun. If Naonka was a guy she'd fall into that category too.
I can't believe Chase got 4 votes.

2 of those votes (naonka and Kelly) should not even count.
I'm glad Fabio won and I'm equally as glad that sash did not get one vote.
It's always fun to see how different they look after getting cleaned up. But, it didn't seem to help Jane.
I'm sooo glad they are going to change the rules for quitters next season.
Did they HAVE to give the douche from La. more air time to further embarrass this state?

What would have happened if Sash got that last vote?
How would they have determined the tiebreaker?
And what are your thoughts on the new setup for next season? I think it will take a lot away from the show. One of the best parts is seeing all the tribal counsel reactions based on the possibility of going home. Now they won't have to right away. Plus seeing the exit interview is always fun too.

What was the big announcement for next year? I didn't hear it.

I'm glad that Fabio "hey man" won. He is hilarious.

Next season they are completely changing how people are elimated.
When you get voted out at tribal counsel, instead of being gone for good, you go to redemption island. The next person elimated at tribal counsel will go to redemption island and will face off at some challenge and the loser goes home. The person that stays faces off against the next person voted at tribal counsel. So on and so fortth. So a player could go to redemption island on the first episode and end up in the finale.
I don't think they said anything about when they are brining back the person on redemeption island to the main game.
Yeah he deserved it for sure. Watching him talk to Jeff on the reunion was hard to watch tho.
I'm just surprised that Chase got so many votes.

I thought the same thing when the voted started. 3 finalists,9 votes. What if each gets 3? I prefer the 9 votes , 2 finalist. No way you can have a tie then.

I don't really have a problem with it, as long as it's not all physical challenges. In that case it would just be the strongest person winning all the time.
The last challenge with the coins on the sword was a pretty good challenge. It was more than just brute strength or intelligence. It was more a competition of concentration and sheer will.

I didn't see the actual votes. Does Wiki have the votes right?
Voted for Chase - Holly, Jane, Brenda, Alina
Voted for Fabio - Dab, Benry, Kelly, NaOnka, Marty
If so, I have a few thoughts:
1. I can't believe NaOnka voted for Fabio. I thought she was an automatic vote for Chase.
2. Fabio got both votes from the quitters. Had they not been alloed on the jury, Chase wins 4-3.
3. I thought Fabio would have ran away with this thing, but I agree with Alina that Chase actually did a good job with his answers at the final tribal. Sash, not so much.

It's funny how this show works. It seemed like in the first season people respected the fact that Richard lied and cheated to make it to the end, and he ended up winning the whole thing. However, in recent years, it seems that the jury gets bent out of shape whenever they're lied to and ousted from the tribe.
I stopped watching after the third season and only picked up again these last three (I've since gone back and watched the first all-star season as well). But I wanted to know, since Richard, has anyone else who played the game "shady" won? Sash this year, Russell the last two seasons (Parvati last season as well); it seems like there is an emphasis by the jury placed on "honor" when most of the jury members, themselves, would have stabbed someone in the back to make it to the end as well.
And to piggyback on that point, how the hell was Jane the most popular player this season? I thought she was up there with Naonka for her petulant behavior whenever something didn't break her way. I don't know why it always surprises me on this show when the jury/contestants embrace their own hypocrisy and criticizes each other for the same actions they, themselves, are committing. /Rant
And congrats to Fabio. Nice guy who had a hell of a run at the end.

If I remember correctly, Kelly and Richard were both pretty hated, so i think it was choosing a lesser of the two evils for winner.

Jane never stole anything, lied, and she didn't quit. But I am really surprised she won by the largest margin. That beffudles me. Although I thought she was one of the most likeable players, in now way did she seem like the run away favorite. I thought Fabio might have won that award, just because he was really goofy and all around a nice guy.

I can't see Jane voting for chase after the way she went off on him, sash and holly.
The votes they showed were Alina and Brenda voting for chase and Dan and Marty voting for Fabio.
Naonka and Kelly were aligned with chase so I thought they voted for him.
I would think holly would turn on chase since he voted her out.
i would think the votes went
chase...kelly,naonka,brenda,alina
fabio ... dan,marty,benry,jane,holly.

Yeah, going back and looking at the votes it was 4-3 so you probably are remembering it better than I am. Just seemed like he may have been hated but still respected for how he went about winning it. Obviously the emotions of being involved in that game will play a role into how you vote so the "despicable" player will risk alienating everyone to get to the jury and then lose there. Just seems like the jury members who also formed alliances and attempted to get the "despicable" finalist out would respect the game play for besting them.

I got a Rupert vibe from Jane. She put a front that she was nice and honorable but she was harboring some serious vitriol towards other contestants. She was quick to attack the families of Marty, Chase, and Sash at various points throughout whenever they went against her. Plus, pouring water on the fire was such an over the top, childish reaction (though one of the more entertaining parts of the season). I just don't appreciate people that act like they're on the moral high ground when they are so quick to malign the character of others for just playing a damn game.
