Finally! They've left us hanging all this time. What will happen to Sully? Who is this mystery husband Liam? And just when Cal was making inroads.
That's right. Season 4 premiered Monday, April 20, with Maggie Sullivan’s life “finally taking shape, having decided on a new direction for her career and a renewed commitment to Cal.” But is that true. Old feelings don't disappear. And fans are up in arms. A love triangle? Come on, Maggie. What are you doing to Cal? They ain't Mormons, so this just ain't goinna work.

Damn. I had to give it a night to process all that happened in the season finale. Cal takes Maggie back. Even more he asked her to marry him. Didn’t see that one coming. They’re going to adopt Tracey and maybe Ben will be out of jail soon.
Season five is already in renewal, but we’ll have to wait a whole year probably to get the next results. Going to be hard to wait.

Good riddance to Liam. This Amir guy sucks too. Sid and the firefighter guy worked.

Fans seem glad Sullivan’s Crossing got Season 5, but a lot of people felt Season 4 was a step back. The biggest requests are pretty clear: bring Sully back, move on from Liam, give Cal and Maggie a real payoff, and tighten up the writing.
I was actually on "Team Liam". I mean, they were still married and he got tortured all those years. Till Death To Us Part? But, Liam just didn’t work for a lot of viewers.
Without Sully being central to the show, it also lost some of its charm. I’ll watch Season 5, but I’m hoping it’s a reset season. Bring back Sully! Some may say give us the Cal/Maggie wedding or at least a strong path toward it, and get back to the family, healing, and community feel that made the show work in the first place.
Either way, greatest soap opera on TV!

Season 4 aired on The CW in the U.S. and CTV/Crave in Canada, but it has not been added to Netflix yet. Likely between September 2026 – December 2026.
I have YouTube TV and have been watching it live each week on CW.
