I really hope that they stick with poor Peter in the homemade suit and ditch the Stark tech and Avengers membership.
+1.
Peter spent a good decade+ of real-world time being a high school student. Many of the best stories were when he was a poor, hungry college student (I was hoping his apartment had a skylight). That struggle as Peter Parker was a large part of what created his appeal, his shitty apartment and money problems were incredibly relatable. Having Stark and all the gadgetry in the picture diluted that greatly.
This new setup means we get not only the upbeat and earnest Peter Parker that Holland plays so well, we get him being that way in the face of deep personal adversity (May's death as well as struggling to work enough to pay rent while also going to college AND being Spiderman).
It also sets up some interesting interactives with Peter and other heroes (like Dr. Strange, Falcon, etc) whom he's met and knows but now they have no idea who he is. He's a tabula rasa to the rest of the world.

Finally saw this tonight. (My 9 month old only woke up twice during the movie. Big win!
)
Overall I really liked it though I kind of wish it had been at least two movies if not a full trilogy. I'd forgotten just how much I like Maguire and Garfield in the role and would have liked to see them all interact much more.
Dr. Strange is a dick. Dude is out there blaming Peter when his stupid arse never even stopped to explain to him what all his spell would encompass before he started initially casting it. Hey a-hole, why not ask the teenager if there was anyone who knew he was Spider-Man that he wanted to keep that knowledge before you do some shite that can frick up the universe if you are interrupted?
