I swear every post I read of yours on this board is about how a popular actor or movie is overrated and everyone else just slobbers all over them.

It's old.

The Grey was awful. Maybe a razzie

Definitely wasn't awful. I thought it was really good, just not better than the ones mentioned by the OP. The fact that you nominate The Grey for a Razzie makes me sincerely question your ability to understand movies. I'm thinking Expendables 2 is more your style.

Your ignorance is old.

We have been talking about the Oscars lately and yes I believe that both Lincoln and Denzel were overrated this year. Oh and your boy JGL too.

The oscars would be much more interesting if they included TV series into the mix.

just overall acting.

I know its what the emmy awards..golden globe..saturns are for, but the acting and writing on shows like Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones is in my opinion better than 95% of anything hollywood has had to offer recently.

but that was a direct line from the brutally honest oscar voter thread

Yeah, I said I'd read it somewhere recently. Although, it's kind of a common figure of speech when it comes to artistic over-indulgence.

Looper overrated.
Flight overrated.
Gordon-Levitt overrated.
Denzel overrated.
Les Mis overrated.
Anne Hathaway overrated.
Hardy overrated.

And that's from the last 24 hours or so.

Save Django?

I liked Django but it's one of the weakest Best Picture Nominees this year. Not disputing The Grey and Lawless being awesome, though.

Flight was not overrated. Denzel was. Don't put words in my mouth because you're mad. All of the rest are overrated in my opinion. I'm so sorry you don't like my opinion. I will try from here on out out to follow and obsess over your post as you do mine.

Weebie, I respect your opinion. I think a case can be made for a lot of shite being overrated. But one day I'd like you to let us know what you actually DO like.

You seriously think that the movie about Liam Neeson boxing wolves is better than any of the movies nominated?

It might have actually been entertaining if that's what the movie would have been about (like the trailer implied it would be).

I have stated several times my picks for the Oscars this year including numerous post and threads started supporting them. Not sure if you're trolling or being serious.

Basically there are three things I thought were overrated this year for Awards season -

Anne Hathaway
Denzel
Lincoln

What I think is overrated all the time (mainly on this board) -

JGL

Coming close behind, but is more talented than JGL IMO -

Hardy

I didn't even think The Grey was good.

If The Grey should have been nominated then The Edge should have won best picture. The Grey had no compass...trying to be poetic and yet popcorn tense - it was neither.

For tense popcorn entertainment - I actually liked the silly wolf ski chairlift movie (Frozen) better than The Grey. At least it had tight direction and purpose.

I don't troll. I just genuinely wanted to know in a non-douchebag way. I also pretty much agree with a lot of that, except the bit about Tom Hardy. Definitely not overrated. Underrated, if anything.
