Everyone knows the fricking story.

You mean the same people in the thread who said this:

Should we ignore the fact that blacks stirred up a ton of trouble as well? Why is it always "evil whitey" and "poor innocent blacks"?

In this thread, you actually have a person who can't fathom why BLACKS ARE PORTRAYED AS THE VICTIMS DURING THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT.

If the subject matter makes you uncomfortable, then just admit it. But don't pretend as though some in this thread aren't devoid of knowledge or empathy regarding this period of time.

Yeah. Unbelievable.

Also, I'll bet most people DON'T know the story. And even if they do, this is the first feature film about it that I can recall.

Of course they'd watch Band of Brothers version 29 if it were put out. Funny how they don't seem to have any of the same complaints about those sorts of projects.

Mississippi Burning got 90% on RT - audience score
Selma got 86% on RT - audience score
The Butler got 78% on RT - audience score
Ghosts of Mississippi got 68% on RT - audience score

That sounds about right.

People know a good movie on this subject when they see one.
