Great movie. Well done Disney.
Greatest race horse ever. Ive read Secretariat's hindquarters were the main source of his power, with a sloped croup that extended the length of his femur. When in full stride, his hind legs were able to reach far under himself, increasing his drive. His ample girth, long back and well-made neck all contributed to his heart-lung efficiency.

The manner in which Secretariat's body parts fit together determined the efficiency of his stride, which affected his acceleration and endurance.

No horse since has been able to do what he did.

Some would say that it was because of he had a big heart which made him run so fast for great distances. No, it was because he was fast as shite. Go Big Red!

So you're saying Secritariat moved like a tremendous machine?

I preferred Seabiscuit (the movie).

I dont know, sham had a similar sized heart. And I think another fast legendary one had an enlarged heart too.
