Will smith is a better actor all the way around. If need be, he could do the jive arse turkey shite just as well as samuel jackson.
has to be a troll
Why would that be a troll? I mean I like the guy but almost his entire persona is built around being profane and loud at just the right moment.
There's not a lot to him. If not for a handful of Quentin Tarantino movies, then who's samuel jackson?

That's actually true.

The media said he was good in Ali, I never agreed.

I say it’s what and what. You see SLJ play the same type of character in a lot of movies. You know he has more range but is an exceptional badass at that one thing.
Will Smith plays a wide range of roles and makes you believe he’s that actual person

I thought about this question for a few days. I like both actors. I don't look at this as "one succeeds the other must fail".
Wil Smith did a lot more when he was younger and SLJ is still making movies I like watching.
Then there are the stinkers. For Will Smith, for him to survive "The Wild Wild West" is a testament to his talent because that would be a career killer for most. SLJ I would have to say "Snakes on a Plane".
Then there are those films that are good you don't hear about so much..For SLJ, Iloved him in the "Negotiator" with Kevin Spacey. For Wil Smith, I thought "the Pursuit of happiness" was are really good film for him.
Can they play both the Villain and the Good Guy? SLJ Can but I haven't seen Wil Smith.
This is so close I could call it a tie, but I'm going to say Samuel L. Jackson AKA Frozone! The way he acts pussy-whipped" to "Honey" puts me over the top.

Will Smith plays Will Smith (who is a douchebag) in: Independence Day, MIB, Wild Wild West, Bad Boys, Suicide Squad etc. When he takes on a more challenging role (Concussion Collateral Beauty, Pursuit Of Happiness), he tries too hard and is embarrassing. Not subtle or nuanced at all.
