In the original, he was a doll that had the soul of a serial killer. The serial killer put his soul in the doll by using a satanic phrase I think.

I have no idea what they’re doing in this one.

But in the old Adventures or Pinocchio it is a possessed piece of pine wood that Geppetto carves Pinocchio from .... and the boys turn into donkies and various other animals.

Matter of fact when Pinocchio is first carved he has a bit of an evil streak about him which causes Geppetto great distress. Remember, it was a haunted pine knot that the neighbor had and gave to Geppetto when he was trying to turn a table leg.

And no wonder why Hollywood and audiences have been so fascinated with this story for over 130 years now.

Unfortunately, I keep seeing Mark Hamill’s face when I hear this Chucky. Sometimes, knowing who the voice is isn’t a good thing.
