After the fatal explosion and the severely injured hand, I think OSHA would be all over their asses. Maybe that will be mentioned in later episodes but BBT and his superiors should be seriously worried.
Also, the widow is moving in quick. They showed her looking at the pile of bills before calling Cooper. However, wasn't she given $250000 as a showing of good faith by the company? Maybe she hasn't received it yet.
