Okay so National Treasure 2. The first cypher written from Queen Victoria is Laboulaye's Lady. Which isn't built for another 11 years. Do we just assume that Fat Vick knew that Laboulaye would eventually build a statue with clues on it? Oh yeah, clues that relate to a desk not built until 1880!? Why not just give them the damn location when they could use it? Why make them wait 15 years to be able to get the treasure?

I could be wrong, but the virus was also pointless. The nuclear bomb blew up the mothership and sending something up the main weapon to make it backfire destroyed the smaller ships covering the planet. The only thing the virus did was take away the shields of the fighter alien ships that were trying to stop the human jets.
They used the bomb to prevent the Mother ship from fixing the downloaded virus not to destroy the ship.

I cant believe any of you trekkies having difficulties with the new Star Trek have not mentioned the fact that Kirk is sent to an ice planet and ends up a quick run from where Spock is.
If you set someone down inside the same county as the only other person alive the chances of them crossing paths after 3 mins is exceedingly small.

That is just calling bullshite. Not really a plot hole. You could call bullshite on just about every action movie.

Not just a quick run, but he was chased by a monster right into the very cave spock was hanging out in.
Yes, that one was huge but more of a roll your eyes moment than a plot hole.

About time travel to the past being an impossibility...
I thought that Primer was based on the current theory that you could create a field that would allow you to move from the present to the past (but only to the point in time in which the field first came into being).
This American Life had a story on a theorist who had come up with this idea in the hope of seeing his deceased father, only to find that his theory would only allow travel back to a limited period of the past.

Maybe it isnt a plot hole, and the entire movie was atrocious, but the two things that bothered me most in Waterworld was
1. Those frickers were really going to row a huge oil tanker?
2. Costner bungee jumps from a hot air balloon with a regular rope that happens to be elastic and happens to be the perfect length. And then THREE damn jet skis all collide at the same point.
Just miserable.

People that say things like this are impossible are ridiculous. How do we know? No one really knows anything about time travel. Hundreds of years ago people probably thought we were made of gummy bears and sunshine instead of cells. People also thought the world was flat hundreds of years ago. What I'm trying to say is, we know nothing about any of this, so we really can't say anything to do with it is impossible.
