Enjoyed the movie, wouldn’t put it in my top 100. I know that’s not your point, but enjoying the movie was enough for me. I don’t need to think it was greatest movie of the year or whatever like some people might think.

Watched it for the third time because of that NYT list
Gets better every time. Just a brilliant and unique movie. I wouldn't put it as my top of the 21st century but it is up there and the last hour or so (the minute the old housekeeper arrives) is some of the best filmmaking out there. Just a crazy ride with a incredible ending.

I agree with you 100%.
I didn’t even finish watching it cause I lost interest and turned it off when the rich family goes out of town
Literally that exact moment is when the movie gets good and why it's considered one of the best movies of late. Everything you watched was just build up to what happens when they leave.

I sort of want to watch this. But I have the feeling it is anti-capitalist and don’t want to waste my time if so. I l love a good story and I love allegories, but I hate anti-capitalist whiny baby I’m a victim type stuff. Wondering if anyone has a comment on this?
Watch it. It won best picture in a year that was probably the best for films of that decade.
After rewatching, I get peoples complaints about the themes but I never once thought it came off a preachy.
Trying not to spoil anything, but by the end of it imo, the rich people came off looking much better than the poor. You have sympathy for the poor, because their situation does suck, but they are not good people and it doesn;t really portray them as good.
