Holy shite! I've seen this movie maybe 15 times, but seeing it tonight in Dolby Vision on my LG OLED, with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack was like seeing it for the very first time. Background scenery and people come to life as the sound completely immerses the viewer into the movie and the characters. This movie takes great advantage of Atmos and Dolbyvision production. It really makes appreciate this movie even more than I already did.

All those moments of your enjoyment of the film will be lost in time, like tears in rain

Amazing fricking movie. Only scene I loath is the infamous "enhance" scene. Other than that, love it and the sequel.

ETA: lol, triggered

It's a great film in any format. Maybe the best film. Of all time.

In the enhance scene, I believe that Deckard sees himself in the bathtub, but doesn't realize it's himself he's looking at, then he scans to the mirror showing Zhora.. He was the good one, the smartest of the Nexus 6 robots who got captured and reprogrammed, because only a Nexus 6 can take down the others.

The others knew him. Even Roy said, when he burst through the brick wall, "I was supposed to be the good one."

*Oh, and I've rethought my position on 2049. It is nowhere near the classic that BR is. It's never immersive and personal. In BR, especially the version I watched last night, you share the feelings of fear, you share the clammy dampness of the damp, rainy air, you feel the tension and apprehension of Deckard as he searches for Priss. You have empathy for Rachel. You just have in 2049 great sound, great visuals and an interesting story, but you never really get immersed and feel the grittiness and dystopia like in BR.

Seeing it in the Dolby theater the night before 2049 came out was an amazing experience

If I recreated that sonic experience at home my neighbors would call the police on me! What did the theater subs get down to? 16 Hz? Every bone in my body felt the bass from the sub speakers.

I saw BR at the theater in Cortana Mall in 1982. My friend and I had to sneak in because we were underage.

I loved every damn minute of it, narration and all.

I haven't watched an un-narrated version, but I can't imagine it being better than the original.

But I'm old school.
