Possibly joining the cast of The Irishman

Would be awesome if true.

Isn't this going straight to Netflix or Amazon?

They run them in the theaters as well so they can get that Oscar nomination.

Netflix is producing it aka letting Scorsese do whatever he wants. They're giving him something like a $110M budget

This is why Netflix is winning in nearly everything. They are basically taking all the creative hurdles artist have in the industry and saying just make what you want as long as it gets viewers.

They hit way more than they miss so I'm in on this. Plus it's fricking Scorsese he even makes children's movies interesting

What does that have to do with anything in this day? More and more blockbuster films will follow and do the same.

I do wonder how long it will take for Netflix films to earn academy award nominations?

Didn't Netflix folks receive jeers at Cannes?

Are there any particular reasons why Pesci dropped into semi-retirement, or is he just "chilling," as the kids say?

They've had documentaries nominated for Oscars, and have won.

I thought Beasts of No Nation was a Netflix movie. Either way, it didn't get nominated for any Oscars. That was the year of the white Oscars.
