The novel was about the way Amy Adams character saw jake G. Character. She saw him as the weak dad, and actually that was her. He was the sheriff. He was dying from cancer too.
The tire change scene, which was like 40% of the movie, was intense like true detective wtf, and having a family makes it relatable. I loved it and didn't appreciate the artsyness. I disliked nightcrawler.

Base on the lack of a consensus on this film, I'll wait till it's on cable to see it. Sounds like they type of movie which may be a pleasant surprise if I catch it on Tv but it could also piss me off if I waste time and money at a theatre on it.
