Timothee Chalamet, the breakout star of the film Call Me By Your Name, has been cast to play the young king. Henry V led an English army to victory at the famous Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453).

Henry V was forever immortalized in Shakespeare's classic play of the same name. But I suspect Netflix will have its characters speaking in a more modern form of English with this production that is set to start filming in June.

If it's anywhere near as good as The Tudors, I'm in for the long haul.

edit: it looks like it's just a single movie, not a series.

I really didn’t think I would like this film but I did. It had a dark and melancholy tone throughout but the characters make it work with brilliant performances and I think it would have made a great limited series with more detail on the war and France.

Nicholas Britell with another masterful score.
