Wait until you hear about Avatar: The Last Airbender’s budget. First season is rumored to be $300 million plus, and given its resurgence and the animated series breaking Netflix’s record for being in the Top 10 the longest, they’re going to pay for that.

I know netflix produces and purchases a wide array of content, but I do wonder if the need to have new content every week turns the in-house productions into a Roger Corman-esque production factory: everything needs to be finished on time and under budget, no matter what.

At least it’s an original movie. That’s what I like about Netflix, they produce original content unlike 95% of hollywood.
