Why did they get rid of Escobar so quick? I think they should have drawn it out a few seasons and showed more of the high life of a drug kingpin and the bloodshed.

Very much the opposite. They went quick on the first season and then dragged arse on his story in the second because there wasn’t enough plot left. Dragging him out any more would’ve ruined the show

honestly season 3 turns out to be my favorite

I just finished season 3 and can agree that it was the best season so far. The Pablo story line was very interesting, but they did a great job phasing it out to move on to smuggling scene post-Pablo.

Interested to see the tie in with El Chapo.

hes basically just an errand boy at the time. you will see him chauffeuring around the bosses and thats about it. He wouldnt even be included if it wasnt for who he turned out to be.

Pena (above) will play Kiki Camarena

So they're going back in time? I don't really want to watch his final scene.

**SPOILERS** for season 3:

With the way they set up the end, they had that guy talking to Pacho (I think?) about how the future of the drug trade was Mexico. So I thought this season was supposed to take place after all of that. Anyone know why they decided to change that?

a bit of foreshadowing. the guadalaraja cartel is first of the major mexican cartels and there is a unique story there that sets a precedent in the modern day "war on drugs". you will see some conspiracy type stuff about how the American Govt is involved with the drug trade visa vi the contra war in Nicaragua.
