Not that Depp is Brando or anything, but he & Del Toro in Fear and Loathing might’ve been a total whiff with another cast.

Humphrey, Ingrid, Cary, and Eva are all goat tier legends. Without them those movies would be held to the same standard they are today and that’s a fact

Wow, I have literally never heard of LA Takedown until right now. And watching that diner scene with two no-name shitty actors is awful. But that's one of the best scenes in Heat since it's Pacino and DeNiro. That's crazy how much of a difference there is in quality between the two almost identical scenes.

Coming to America
Eddie Murphy plays 4 or 5 characters. Arsenio Hall plays like 2 or 3 characters. That movie is a masterpiece. Could not make it without Eddie Murphy or Arsenio Hall. So much versatility.

Zodiac being able to catch RDJ, jake gyllenhaal, and ruffalo right before their peak was pretty clutch.

Daniel Day Lewis just carries the movie the entire way. That move it nowhere near the caliber it is without his performance.
