this is a chinese movie about a reporter from Bejieng who goes to Tibet to ride with a mountain patrol squad who parol their region trying to stop poachers of a sacred antelope that is soon to be extinct
this is a movie that needs to be seen on a really big screen, in the dark, and without much sound. stunning settings
it's a tale about survival. it's very "real," as the tibetans aren't actors and are playing themselves in large part

I've been meaning to watch this for some time now. I'll probably move it to the top of my netflix queue based on your rec. I'm guessing the blu-ray would be better than watching it non-HD streaming?

yes
and i'm not a blu ray fan and avoid them at just about all costs
it's like cgi...if you're using cgi to do backdrops, it can work and look real. if you're using it for action, it sucks 99% of the time. if you're using HD for natural settings, it improves the visual experience tremendously
