Thanks for the last 10 yrs. Hell of a ride. The future of the MCU will not top the original.

While I agree with most of it, who knows what Feige has cooking up with Galactus and the Doctor Doom and with the F4 and the XMen.

Agreed. This will try to be replicated but it will never be done. These last 11 years will be historic. The OG 6 will be regarded as the next Luke, Han and Leia in 20 years.

Thankfully the fans recognize the accomplishment. It will get downplayed because they are comic movies while no one has ever told a 10 year linear story

Pretty much on point. I've looked forward to Avengers movies basically with the same enthusiasm as I did Star Wars as a kid, and LOTR later on. And they delivered on 3 of 4, with AOU being a bit underwhelming.

Really, the closest comparison is Game of Thrones, and like that, you did have the basic storylines already established (and ready for interpretation by the writers, of course).

DC can't touch this, since they're fixated on continuously rebooting Batman instead of building a longterm coherent story.
Imagine the difference if you replaced Affleck with Keaton (he shows in Spiderman he can still do action decently enough), as the older, now cynical Batman from Burton's story. No need for rebooting Joker, that card has been played.
Insert Cavill into that Batman's radar.
