For some reason I always thought this was a super hero show, but obviously I was wrong. Must’ve had the title confused with something else. Started watching on Netflix the other day. Very entertaining so far and love all the 60s stereotypes.

One question, still on season 1, but as the show moves on is it just more of the same or are there any storylines or points that develop. I ask because I’m almost finished season 1, but not really seeing a whole lot of change in the overal plot/concepts and it starting to get sort of stale.

This. It's definitely not a monotonous show and well worth the watch.

It's a slow burn for sure but that's one of the many good qualities of the show. Nothing is rushed.

I re-watched earlier this year with a friend. After a couple of episodes she asked what the show was about and I was like, "Well, nothing really. It's about Draper's life." But it was really good television and we both enjoyed it.

Season 1 just really sets up the early 60's and puts you in the environment.

There are zero Breaking Bad "oh shite" moments. It's just not that type of show.

It is essentially a soap opera, but it is the greatest soap opera of all time. Best dialogue, filming, set design, acting, and writing of any daytime or night time soap or serial drama that is not based on historical events. It is Sopranos without the mob, it is Breaking Bad without meth.... Although there is an acid episode that is awesome, and an amphetamine episode that is funny.

For some reason the show didn’t “click” for me until Betty shot the neighbors birds. I remember my brain being like “oh shite this is good” at that moment in season 1 and was hooked from then on.

Make an old fashioned and enjoy where it takes you. Draper is a bad personal who you root for. Perfect escape.
