Is this the show with the Milana Veyntrub girl from the cell phone commercials? Lily something maybe? AT&T I think?

The only reason I can even slightly buy Gus getting all these hot chicks is because he works in the industry.
He has written some scripts, with one being produced, works daily with a teen star, and is on set at one of the hot tv shows of the day (granted his main job is tutor, but he is still there).
No matter how pathetic someone is, if they have even perceived connections, power, or fame in Hollywood then there will be hot young things willing to sleep with him to get a part or foot in the door.
