I loved it. Really sweet film that sticks to realism and is anchored with some great acting. I wanted to call it the girl version of Boyhood, but unlike Boyhood Lady Bird centralizes on a certain theme (mother -daughter) and by doing so stabilizes the film. Boyhood got a lot of flack for not having a solid plot.

The movie will be noted for the mother-daughter themes, but the contrasting relationship the father might be as powerful.

Boyhood fricking blows. Easily a Top 5 on the most overrated movies ever. Only Annie Hall is currently coming to mind as more overrated.

Just saw this movie. I really enjoyed it, but I'm a sucker for coming of age movies. The acting was very good. The lead and mom were perfect in it.

Saw it today.. Loved it. Perfectly cast across the board. I didn't know her best friend in the movie is Jonah Hill's sister IRL (Beanie Feldstein)
