Who saw this? What did you think?

I was at the Londoner and read an article from a local paper about the last performance....20 friggin' minutes after it started. I wish I had known about it before it was over. Who saw it and what did you think?

King Lear is one of my Shakespeare favorites, but so much hinges on an exceptional performance from the titular lead.

Outside of Hamlet, King Lear is probably my favoriite, too. I was told by the one person I have met (waiter at the Londoner...I don't know him.) that the lead roles were outstanding. But he knew most of them personally, so he might be biased.
