There is no way in hell a U.S. Marshall who witnessed a man attempting to choke out a woman only to have that man pull his gun out would have allowed that man to walk away with a known felon.

maybe not, but a marshall's primary job is the capture of fugitives, not to round up assault perps. He should not have even been there in the first place, he was really just on personal business.

So Boyd is now holding Colt's weapon, the gun used in a double homicide, in his desk drawer?
That sucks.
That sucks.

Yea, and he had the guy he suspects of murdering his friend. He had every right, regardless of U.S. marshall mandates, to arrest Cole. He could have provided any reason for being at the tent without much repercussion from his superiors. He may be playing another angle but marshall protocol was not the reason for allowing Cole to walk.
I don't recall the sequence of events but was Colt holding the gun he used in the murders?

maybe he has something special planned for him? Maybe he has no interest in arresting him, just wants to kill him.

That would make sense.

He told Cassie later that evening while sitting in the car with her, that when he takes him down, his (Colton) eyes will be clear.
In other words, when he does gun him down, he wants him to be fully aware of who is doing it, why it is happening, and to feel every bit of it.

I think Tim is a badass. Wish we could see more of him.

Just noticed this little nugget form that EW post mortem with Graham Yost:
I wonder who the "beloved character" is that will have a surprise return. I'm thinking Limehouse since Ava will be going somewhere to get away.
quote:
Boyd sent Ava away when it became clear that Ellen May was, in fact, still alive and trying to reach Cassie. But I don’t think anyone believes she’d actually leave. Oh, no. She goes. She goes away. But the question is: How far does she go? And where does she go? You find out in episode 10. And episode 10 will have the surprise return of a beloved character, and that’s all I’ll say.

Dickey Bennett

Dickey is only listed in seasons 2-3 on wikipedia
Mykelti Williamson as Ellstin Limehouse (season 3–present)
I say Limehouse

If it isn't Limehouse I'll be surprised. We haven't seen Dewey Crowe yet this season though. Judge Reardon(Stephen Root) has been absent as well.

How about the barmaid Raylen was banging

What happened to the little 13 year old girl that Mags Bennett was raising? I miss Limehouse and the Bennett boys and the Judge, they were all good characters in season 2. I'm hoping he gets with his pregnant girlfriend again, I liked her too.

and the Judge,
has been around in all three previous seasons, with the fallout of the Hunter-Shelby fiasco coming, I suspect he appears.

Me too, he has good range. Surprising he never showed up in more comedies really, but he nails it as Tim.

The reveal of Drew Thompson was very meh. I do like the Gunterson/Colton dynamic though. And Art's rant was awesome. He we long due to blow his top, and the wait was worth it.
