There’s a fun story I’ve seen that Keaton went the entire shoot and marketing run thinking he was Soze, and was actually angry and distraught when he saw the screening on opening night
I heard something similar, but that it wasn't until the final couple days of shooting.

Maybe The Game and Identity as well? LA Confidential? Insomnia? Oldboy? Triangle? Source Code?
Actually, honestly that's why The Usual Suspects is so good, there's nothing else really out there like it.

The bare bones of it, with more of the truth added when Kujan caught him in a lie about the lack of cocaine on the boat.
I can believe Keaton was essential to the NY Finest Taxi Service job Verbal pitched. I can believe they killed Saul Berg with Verbal pulling the trigger to set up the eventual pitch for the boat job. I can believe big chunks of the boat job were as told.
The stuff not depicted (quartet in Skokie, the orca fat guy, etc) were all clearly bullshite.
Redfoot may have been bullshite.
A lot of the Edie stuff was played up by Verbal to try and be bait to Kujan, who desperately believed it was Keaton as Soze.
Etc.

And to ensure the Edie fluff, he killed her too so his bs about her could not be corroborated.
