Does anybody have any experience with getting rid of this? I'm following some instructions I found on google and so far no luck.

Reboot in safe mode w/ command prompt. Follow directions for system restore on your phone or another computer.

My antivirus programs seem to be tainted since I got the virus, just FYI.

Tried to tell everyone but I got beat down.

Vodly is a hijacked site. Told people to use the correct site but NOOOOO. I was an idiot.

Doesn't help you but primewire is the NEW unhijacked 1channel.

Now.....

Did you try malwarebytes in safe mode?

Yep, I'm running hitmanPro now, should be done soon.

Thanks for the responses.

You reformat your computer.

It's pretty much the only way to eradicate anything. Once you compromised yourself, you don't know how much further it dug in. Even if you remove the original virus, you don't know what else it let in.

There is a reason why once you get a virus you are often plagued recurrently by something.

Its a pain, but I wouldn't want to type in bank info on a potentially compromised computer....

Nuke the HD from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Hitman pro is good.

I run hitman pro. Then malwarebytes. If Malwarebytes fixes anything I reboot and give them both another try.

When neither work, I break out the final option and run combo fix.

I've always read that one can screw things up but it has helped me several times.

As I said just be forewarned if you use the final option.

False. That is the final option and one I have never had to take.

Well crap man, sorry if you got a virus. I never download from these sites, I just stream. But it sounds like vodly is screwed. Lesson learned

Back at ya on the false

Is it unneeded in most cases, sure.

But the statement remains: You do not know if you are secure or not unless you do it. Period.

You can easily gamble by not doing it and still come up on top, but that doesn't mean you aren't taking a risk.

Of course, I'm good at backing up so the task for me is one of a couple of hours so it's not a big investment for the surety of security.

I know most don't give back ups even lip service.

If you have looked at a single porn site, a single streaming site or pretty much any site with advertising, you too may have a virus.

Even the best software doesn't protect you from everything or even nearly everything.

Based on your 100% certainty principle, the only safe computer is one never hooked to the internet. And even that one isn't safe because your kid will bring a disc from school loaded with porn to check out when you are out of the house.

The difference is you are talking "MAY" have been compromised.

I'm saying if you KNOW you have been compromised to do it. Because you can't know if you get it all.
