The Aussie’s have produced a number of underrated shows with quirky characters and unexpected humor.

Rake and Jack Irish aren’t as dark as Mr. Inbetween, but worth checking out if you can find them.

Jack Irish was intended as only a couple of TV movies, then they produced a third movie, then it was turned into a limited series, but Guy Pearce kept coming back, so it made it three seasons. Often the movies and series are not on the same streaming service.

Agreed. I was hoping for another season but read that Scott Ryan said he was finished playing the character.

Might as well watch Reservation Dogs while you’re at it.

Just finished the second season. This show is absolutely fantastic.

When he keeps saying "I don't answer questions," and the puzzled looks on the cops faces

There's so many low key absolutely hilarious moments in the show.

Its hard to nail dark humor without being over the top. This show does it so subtly.

Finished all three seasons the other night. I absolutely love this show.

In regards to dark humor and nailing it in a subtle manner....I think about the perfect example of it is when he's talking to the rich guy by his pool about paying the $250K and the rich guy says "what happens if I don't pay?," to which Ray responds "You really wanna find out?" The smile that Ray gives when he says that makes what he says absolutely hilarious.

There are so many moments in the show like this. Ray's facial expressions and the little smirk he gives says so much and is just downright hilarious.

It upsets me that the guy who plays Ray hasn't done a single thing since the show ended. He was magnificent
