That's $1800 per year. Some serious coin dude!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it now that I have a big arse student loan accruing a pile of interest. I'd like to pay it off while keeping my bills the same.

amazingly.... i hope
So, I should really have this if I want Netflix to work, right?

Nevermind. Just read the thread. Only question I have is if I need this for Netflix to work correctly. Obviously, I don't have Netflix now, and am not really sure how it works.

so this is mostly for people who less than 40k a year?

it seems like a real pain in the arse to have to search through different apps to find different shows. you also have to wait to watch things and cant get a lot of sporting events or news without using yet another device.

when people come over, do you ask if they want to watch your old tv shows?

I typically find that Netflix and cutting the cable cord is for less than 30k earners[such as young adults and college students] and more than 80k earners. My high income friends and myself don't watch a lot of TV; so, Netflix is perfect for us. But, a middle class person like yourself sucks up some TV and needs 300+ channels to escape the day. I get it; you like to lounge in front of the tube all the time. But, I prefer to do other things with my time.

you wouldnt need a roku box. new tvs stream, as do blu ray players. and the "higher income" earners look for convienence instead of penny pinching. having to push a button and have your shows ready to go when you need them is the easiest solution.

your place must be great during ncaa football, monday night football, hornets/nba games, and the majority of sporting events.

Your middle income is showing. I said NETFLIX is perfect for us, not roku. Also, I said we don't watch much TV. We don't even have TV's in our kids rooms.

Your place must be great during that DVR'd American Idol. I GO to the football games I want to see. And, any game I must see that I can't go to, finding a place to watch is not a problem. But, then again, my life doesn't revolve around a few weekends in the fall, sports, or TV in general. Must be GREAT to sit in front of a light box your whole life.

I did not say what you quoted, nice try though. I simply pointed out that there are other people besides <40k earners that don't have cable. Look I get it, your excitement in life comes from seeing that brand new show on the light-up box.

I see that I probably support middle class jerks like you when I go out and spend my money. Maybe, I should support the local cable provider instead.

I think it is nice that you and your friends enjoy siting in front of a TV together. Matter of fact, I hope that you keep doing it.
